Description

These projects are part of Phase 1 of a Revitalization to the multi-year program to address aging infrastructure on the Vermilion Campus. Student Services & Information Technology Spaces were renovated first to ensure that students can use these spaces for the Fall 2019 semester.  IT Services were relocated from the second floor of the Bentley building to the lower level of Alumni Hall. The intent was to re-purpose the workspace to create an open and collaborative area to allow students and staff to be closer to the student production space, library, and computer labs. The main scope in this area was electrical, mechanical, and HVAC upgrades. Student Services department was moved to Alumni Hall and the existing area was completely demolished and redone.

The lab component of the project involved a complete renewal of the Soils, Plants, Chemistry and Aquatics Labs, as well as all the connecting support rooms. The modernization included layout changes for better teaching & learning spaces, new mechanical and electrical systems to support energy efficient systems and laboratory fumehood additions.
