Description

Delnor undertook the renovation of two floors of a provincially designated historic site in Edmonton to transform them from an old boys’ home to a modern law office space. Due to the historic nature of the building, Delnor’s management team had to closely collaborate with the historical authority from the Government of Alberta to that guidelines were being followed and the expectation of the quality of work was upheld on the beautiful and historic building.

Furthermore, Delnor also coordinated and constructed the tie-in of a free-standing glass enclosure to house an elevator shaft. The elevator was to provide access to each level of the building to ensure accessibility. This involved tying the new enclosure to the existing brick building with precision to ensure that the elevator openings lined up with the openings to the building.
